2oz of tobacco a day per soldier! I doubt I'd be able to keep up. With regards to the smoking band, a real shame and surely a policy that'll continue to spread.

In Europe they consider vaping as vastly better than cigarettes, and they are probably right.

In Europe they consider vaping as vastly better than cigarettes, and they are probably right. Anything's better than smoking cigarettes. However, why is it every time I watch a European movie, even current ones, they're constantly shoving cigarettes into their mouths?

Also, it's the only kind of rebellion they can get away with.

I'd imagine an actor would prefer to have a prop to play with in order to better express themselves than nothing. Just look at the Marvel movies and how they keep having to express different levels of surprise and shock, one cigarette would help them show much more personality than they typically could.

Really, would Leon the Professional be nearly as cool without the cigarette?

Leon should pause as he gets the range on his next victim, calmly load his pipe, light up the pre-char, take a few puffs and THEN return to the gun. After the job he lights up the pre-char and has a satisfying smoke while he packs up. That's my story anyway...
