Nothing in the current smoking section sounds good. "Mixed VA" while I think about what to pull from the cellar.

Decided to give Pegasus one more try. This time in the MM Legend with a 6mm charcoal filter. This combo seems to have toned down some of the harshness I was getting from it earlier, although I can still feel it wanting to bite. Not a bad smoke, but definitely not a repurchase. As usual a hot cup of coffee to pair.

Last night's Final smoke was mixed burley leavings from the spill-tray, in my Kristi freehand. This morning, with my coffee, it's Maltese Falcon in a rusticated horn , by Robert Vasher.

That unfinished Savinelli has developed some nice color. Must see regular use.

It's a bit heavy for me, but it is a looker and it smokes well, like yours apparently. What's happening to the stem on yours?

What's happening to the stem on yours? Believe it or not, I dropped it twice the exact same way and it snapped the tenon off in the shank. Sent it to Mike Myers for repair both times. He does a great job. It is also a bit on the larger side.

I dunno, but they made a thousand of them. There was a guy on some forum that had one. It is my very best smoking pipe. When I got it, it was so caked up that it would barely hold a pencil and the draw was nonexistent. It cleaned up pretty well, but it's not in the kind of shape to ever be in a fancy collection. The thin gold plating is almost gone.
