Well, it has been a bit of time since I have been on. Thought I would give a little info to add to the countless other things you all are thinking about. Since my last post I have settled into living in Louisiana again. However, my wife and I have not currently unpacked all the stuff. There is a myriad of items which fit into are old home but that we can not find a place to fit the slightly downsized new home. But we are managing and I have the end result with a suitable resolution.
About two weeks after arriving here my wife and I came down with Covid 19 delta and were in a bad spot for awhile my wife nearly died and i was close to hospitalization with double pneumonia. It was touch and go for a few weeks for me and i was absolutely smashed so the added worry of my wife in the hospital was extra worrying. Obviously I recovered well enough to pipe and cigar my way into the holidays. Thankfully my wife was released in a little over three weeks from entering the hospital with a case of pneumonia and the various at home breathing apparatuses to include oxygen. She is nearly back to her old self but will not be exactly the same as the covid complications combined with her end stage non alcohol/drug liver cirrhosis will and has result(ed) in some cognitive issues as well as severe energy depletion.
I recently bought a new Peterson Christmas 2021 pipe and have been enjoying a bowl here and there. Also picked up a tin of hard to come by HH Rustica, it is a hot pressed flake that will drown out your pipe in less that 20 seconds after false light if not dried for a little over 30 minutes. I speed it up a little with a 15 second microwaving. I recommend it to any pipe lover. It is strong so go easy. The 3.5 oz tin was a bit over 20 dollars not particularly the kinds of prices i spend on pipe tobacco but I have never seen it available and probably will not ever again.
I hope all is well with everyone and that you all are having a smokey good time.
Still glad to be here.
Jamie

Good to see you checking in!
It sounds like you and your bride have hit the worst stretch of washboard roads that one could imagine travelling on, and you are coming out of it better than expected if you dial the clock back a bit. Glad to have you back, and give the Mrs. a big squeeze from all of us.
