I was the only one on board to my knowledge and to the steward in the Churchill lounge. Sheldon has been on the QM2 for 13 years. He was surpris I was the only one. He said he usually has 2 or 3 at least. He was a wealth of information regarding cigars. I never had one, but learned so much about them. He knows his business and takes care of his guests. He would talk to people and get an idea of their likes and dislikes and try to match your evening libation to match your cigar. He also understood pipe tobacco and would do the same with me, I tried some wonderful cognacs and ports with the pipe tobaccos I had with.
Several lady cigar smokers also, younger and older.

That is pretty cool!, it sounds like you picked a top shelf mode of transportation. I made the trip twice from NYC to Southhampton....(there and back)...no smoking for me though....

cruise.blog/2021/01/cruise-ship-smoking-smoking-allowed-cruisesIt is kind of ironic to see that the cruise ships are so militant on anyone smoking a pipe or cigar, but they seem to be a breeding ground of viruses and all other sorts of nasty contagions to the point of being sequestered from docking as the passengers prefer to flee that environment. Sounds like misplaced priorities if you ask me...

I've never been on a cruise..My wife has a fear of water..She wouldn't go on a cruise if it was free...She loves walking on a beach but not in the water..The closest she gets to being in water is the shower.

We took a cruise once. We had a great time, off the ship. And it was an old style ocean liner. I can't imagine being on a floating mall with 4000 people who we would never associate with in any other situation.

I'm pretty sure I was on a cruise ship once ... the details are blurry. Actually, it was fun. We got to shoot skeet off the back end of the ship and won the limbo contest. However, the time on board was short with more island time in between.

In a few years, the wife and I want to do a Viking River cruise through Europe, a 14-21 day trip. Plenty of port calls to smoke while walking around. If we do go on a cruise, that will be the only kind of cruise.

I did a Nile River cruise many years ago and loved it. Beyond that, a Viking cruise would be next on the list. with all the problems cruises have had ( specifically Caribbean and Mediterranean), pre and post COVID, I couldn’t imagine being stuck on a ship trapped like a rat unless you’re the Captain who abandons ship.

WoW another zombie thread, anyway I would never plan any vacation that didn't include some comfortable pipe/cigar time daily. I'd love to cruise but mrslax has absolutely no interest but a couple of my buddies and I want to sail on a cigar themed cruise to Cuba.

You could buy a Cuban stick in the cigar lounge to smoke there in international waters, as the ship was registered in Netherlands. I didn't partake because it would have been wasted on me, even if it lived up to its reputation--deserved or not.

We've taken only 3 cruises and were lucky enough that no one got sick. On our last cruise we had a suite with a 300 square foot private deck. Nothing like a pipe in private and no one to bother me. That sounds awesome 👌.
