 My Nurse at the Cardo Man is a nice single mom, wife asked about her Dansco Clogs, she said they are expensive and scuff easy, showing the toes with wear, but they are expensive. Wife asked her what size she wore, she told her. Back home wife went in our closet and came out with a shoebox, inside were Dansco Clogs Maroon size same as Nurse. Wife says I only wore them a couple times then found Sketchers that were more comfortable when I was working at the Nurseing home. Today I went for an Ultrasound of my heart. When we arrived we sat and our Nurse came, here wife says, surprised wife says try them on, Nurse says come with me. In the back the Nurse gasped when she saw they were like new. Wife said it reminded her when our kids were little and the glee in their eyes when they were ripping the wrappers on their presents, wife came out with a big smile, I knew what the smile was about and damn it made me feel good to make someone happy

That's a terrific story. Good on your wife to do such an act of kindness.
And you've no idea what that person might have been feeling at that time. Sometimes I feel that when we get a prompt to do something like this, we might have just saved someone from the brink of breakdown, and we have no idea.
