Glad to hear things are clicking for you. And when they don't click, just roll with it. Good to see you here.

As you read through the WAYS thread, you'll see that I have a daily cob, and throw in another cob many days. I'm a cob fan, I've got over 20 in a rack right now, and a boxful that haven't been smoked. They are great smoking pipes. Especially for burley blends. But I smoke everything except English blends in them. I'm sure they could handle latakia , too.

Glad you're finding your way. and it had to be with 5 dollar corn cob...hahaha Like Silver said, lots of folks prefer 5-dollar cobs to briars. Whatever works for you, works for you.

I love my briars, too. I bought a few cobs because of the price, and I found I liked how they smoked. Then the goofy/creative side took over and started staining and modifying them a bit. A way to keep my recently retired mind and hands busy, and out of trouble. I also have been buying groups of beater pipes and trying my hand at giving them another life. I did another cob the other day, might take it for a ride tomorrow. By the way urbino , that's a beautiful Eltang. I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

That will happen more and more often as you go along. And sometimes the stars really align for an extraordinarily great smoke. And there's nothing wrong with cobs!

Congratulations. I'm not sure I remember my first time. 😳 In the past you have stated that you do not taste anything, when did this change?

Congratulations. I'm not sure I remember my first time. 😳 In the past you have stated that you do not taste anything, when did this change? oh I still don't taste anything. I was more referring to the first time the experience went well and I enjoyed it.
