Back around the turn of the century I did some business with a gentleman whose main occupation was an attorney and if I remember he lived in Ohio. He made beautiful acrylic pipe tampers from the blanks commonly used for pens. Just after 9/11 he made me a custom tamper in red, white and blue. I fell out of the community until recently and I lost that tamper in the intervening years. And my memory is not what it used to be and I cannot remember the gentleman's name. I would like to get in touch with him again. If anyone can refresh my memory or supply me with contact information, I would be most grateful. Thanks brothers.

I don’t have a clue about the guy that you are searching for, but there is a guy in the Arizona pipe club that makes pens and tampers like you describe. If you want his contact info, let me know.

Art Rupelt of Ming-Kahuna. Super good guy. I over bought Mings at one of the recent The Taurus Pipe Auctions and am looking to move them when I’m able.

There is a guy that goes by snake on some forums and he makes beautiful tampers, and he will make one to your design.
