Beautiful looking pipe! Thanks! The one stock photo doesn't quite do it justice. It's flanked on both sides with tons of birdseye, the bowl rim is flame/cross grained, and the heel all the way up the bottom of the shank is cross-grained. While it does have several fills about the top of the shank I think they look pretty neat contrasted with the dark orange stain and I got it for a decent price. Larger bowl and the bowl walls are nice and thick. I love the pipe.

Evening, all. Pretty busy day, away for much of it. I started with the usual Haunted Bookshop in the Monday cob and coffee. Now, enjoying some Pegasus in the same. There were several other bowls between the two. Dinner cooked and eaten, time to relax a bit.

January 17th. I hope all are well and enduring the cold with a nice bowl. I have had a good run with my adhoc blends but finished this evening with C&D Sunset Harbor in the old GBD 256 canadian. That blend is a real treat for me. The flavor is a bit more exotic than say Orcilla. (excellent blend by the way). also...... I may make a post a week before the event but I just wanted folks to know about the Saint louis Pipe club show. Febuary 12th details on their facebook page. For those like me who avoid FB it is the masonic lodge in weldon springs Mo. I heard over 200 tables rented!. Hoping to find a nice pipe and some tobacco. anyhoo, I will update beforehand with a proper post.

managed to get in shorter power walks, no-band 5x50 for company, inside exercise later. After the Ed is fed, Schwan #717 breakfast bowl, added cut up sausage link & shred sharp cheddar, nuked to plateful of mess. Hope some volunteers to shovel us out whenever. Did get the Rochester paper somehow, so something to read while eating, k-cup cocoa the drink. We'll manage somehow
23, overcast for now
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY near a tie, me & the tortist, kudos again to Plainsman for his offering!
