Been seeing that in several of your posts. I had a bottle of their Double Oak, but haven't tried the regular. Good?

Nice. How does it compare to something like Jameson? (Won't bother asking about Redbreast.)
Their Double Oak was fine. Not a rebuy, though.

I would buy this again. Not quite Redbreast, but still very nice. Wayyyy better than Jameson.

Right now - an Australian Shiraz - left over from dinner.
Earlier a Dry Gin Martini. Trying to 'perfect' this drink to my tastes. This time I used 2.5 oz Tanqueray Gin, upped the dry vermouth to 0.75 oz, and 1 dash of aromatic bitters. This turned out to be the best recipe yet. I have a better dry vermouth to try - Dolin's. Then I'll experiment with adding olive brine - or not.
This has become a new "hobby". Tinkering with classic cocktails. Tailoring them to my taste.

Einstök Ölgerð Icelandic toasted porter. I do like Einstok. I prefer their Icelandic IPA.

Doctor's office failed to call in a refill on my sleep medicine, so I'm having some Old Forester 1920 in hopes it will grease the skids toward sleep. At 115 proof, it can't hurt, right?

When I make a dry martini, I pour some dry vermouth over the ice, Stir/shake, pour it out & pour in the gin or vodka. Add the .... Over rocks or straight up. Don't care for tasting the vermouth over the taste of a dry Martini. Although this is way different than the original Martini.

Pour a large measure of Gin into a tumbler. Glance at the Vermouth bottle. Enjoy!
