Still uncertain about this whole tea thing. Enjoyed a couple of cups. Didn't enjoy a couple. I think I may have let one brew just a bit too long. Not a lot, but enough that it went a little bitter and astringent on me. So far, I prefer the Rooibos to either of the real teas I've tried.

I just want to say I never met a whiskey or whisky I did not like. Does this make me a drunkard, someone with low standards, or just an amiable and unpretentious guy, or all of the above?
That is for you to decide!

Manhattan with Bushmills and Peychauds bitters. Probably shouldn't be called a Manhattan, but I like them. It ain't a Rob Roy.

Sampling a homemade Super Tuscan I made in 2018. It's starting to show it's age. It's past it's prime. Need to drink the last dozen bottles in the next year I think.

A pint (well, 14.9 ounces) of Guinness Draught and a finger of Angel's Envy. So annoying they did that. I drink Guinness from a pint glass and that canned Draft is always short. No one in the auld sod would pour a pint like that! SO, I buy only the 22 ounces bottles so I can fill me glass.

Paddy's with a splash of reverse osmosis water to bring out the flavor. When in the liquor store I pick up a bottle of French spring water to cut the whisky with. Cheap and works great.

Community Coffee medium roast is my household staple. I try other stuff but always come back to that.
Cafe Bustelo is great too. It tastes like the wonderful coffee you can sometimes get in a garage, or on a work site, served in styrofoam cups. I am serious, and this is not tongue in cheek. I have spent a lot of time at on construction sites, and the coffee you can get in those mobile trailer offices is sometimes bad, but in my opinion it is more often very good. And that is after taking into account how much I may need it at the time. It is also a really great coffee to drink out of doors on very cold days. I don't know why - I suspect it is a lack of subtlety, a lack of fussiness - a coffee that just does it's job. Just do your job.
A note to all those angels from heaven who set up those roadside rest stop coffee services set up by various organizations, Boy Scouts or Rotary or Elks or whoever, I wish more of you brewed Cafe Bustelo. Folks would love it, and be awake.
I received a complete pour over coffee set, with Chemex, filters, a little digital scale, and a wayyyy over priced grinder. For Christmas. And OK yea it does make really wonderful tasty lovely coffee. But it is very fiddly. Hard to do upon waking up. Hard to remember what you did that worked out so well. It is good for weekend afternoons when you feel like being fiddly. Or if I had a staff. That's it. If I had a staff making coffee for me, that would jut bring me coffee when I rang the little bell, I would go for that lovely pour over all the time. Ring-a-ling, baby. Ring-a-ling.
And really, Community Coffee, from a drip machine, or even Starbucks Veranda Blonde in Keurig, is really a great coffee too. Just much easier to make.
Look, bad coffee is better than no coffee, like bad breath is better than no breath. That said, drink what you like, ignore the coffee snobs and ignore the coffee anti-snobs, and just drink what you like. Die awake.

My morning coffee mug says "I don't like morning people, or morning, or people."
I have others. One says "Fun fact, I don't care."

After a difficult afternoon attempting to shop for supplies in Toad, I am home and enjoying a large measure of Paddy's with a splash of water. Badly needed. The 20 something year old clerks at Tractor Supply watching this old man wrestle 150 pound crate of hardwood fire blocks onto a flatbed truck. The days of helping customers and Senior Citizens are over it seems. We are on our own.
That is what Paddy's is for.... those minor annoyances and tribulations!

Grant's Scotch. Aged for a day or so in an ale cask. That is nice to know.
