Pumpkin Beer from O'Fallon Brewery. A seasonal thing. Thought I'd give it a try. OK, I did. Nothing special.

Pumpkin Beer from O'Fallon Brewery. A seasonal thing. Thought I'd give it a try. OK, I did. Nothing special. San Tan brewery does a Pumpkin Porter here this time of year, one bottle was enough for me forever, but some seem to think it is worth stocking up on. Ales and lagers do it for me and Guinness on tap.

Still tinkering with mixing cocktails. Tried a Boulevardier tonight. It's basically a Negroni, but made with bourbon or rye instead of gin. Pretty good. One of may absolute favorites

Tried my hand at a Vodka Martini. As long as I go light on the bitters they seem to turn out fine.

Gin and Tonic.. Bombay and Fever Tree. Tried that a while back. The tonic water left a terrible bitter taste in my mouth - like an unripe grapefruit juice. Maybe I need to use a different tonic water than Schweppes. But I absolutely love the taste of Campari. Go figure.

Whiskey has to be 40% alcohol. Anything labeled as whiskey that's less than 40% is a lie to make the people who drink it feel better about themselves. It's a peanut cordial at best. I don't care what its called. I find that I really enjoy a good VaPer, with a glass of Screwball peanut butter flavored cordial. And as an aside, I don't think I have ever drank anything that made me feel better about myself. Ever. LOL

LOL That's fine for you, but whisky has a meaning and miss-named products like this dilute the meaning. When you go into a bar and order whiskey, you don't want to be served peanut cordial.

Several glasses of wine while watching tv. Still nursing a neck injury Karate? Combination of playing chicken in the pool with the kids in NC last month, stacking firewood and training. I did take the last three nights off from the dojo. Body just needs some time. I play like I’m still in my 20’s and I'm clearly not

Check out what I just invented:
2 parts ginger beer 1 part apple cider
Omigosh it's so good! It's probably been done, though. I thought I invented orange salmon, too, but no. And I also had the idea for Doggles, but somebody else brought it to market. Well, you heard it here first.
