2 tins of Pressed 22 Crumble Cake and 4oz of PS Pumpkin Spice. How is the pumpkin spice? Was thinking of grabbing some for the upcoming fall season when I can get to the cabin and smoke a pipe all day long

I knew Sutliff has a Pumpkin Spice, never knew Stokkebye has one.

Think he meant Sutliff because he was smoking it last season, too. Thinking of trying a little bit of that Pumpkin Spice.
Only thing I've gotten recently is 3 tins of the latest CRF.

It's sweet and the spice isn't overwhelming. Good room note. You can always get 1 ounce and try it.

From Jim : Pumpkin is the star topping, and the various spices (cinnamon, nutmeg and all-spice) contribute in an important secondary role. The tobaccos underscore the toppings, though you’ll notice them just a little more after the halfway point. I got bare hints of vanilla from the black cavendish, honey and toast from the gold cavendish, and very slight hay, citrus Virginia notes. The nutty, molasses sweet burley is also sublimated, but stands out just a little more than the other tobaccos. A hint of vanilla is also in the topping. Won't bite, or get harsh, and is light on the nicotine. Burns at a moderate pace, cool, clean and creamy smooth with a consistent flavor, though it may benefit from a slight dry time. Leaves a little moisture in the bowl, but no goop. Needs an average number of relights. Not quite an all day smoke, but one that's repeatable.

6 tins of this year's Carolina Red Flake. It went straight into the cellar.

6 tins of this year's Carolina Red Flake. It went straight into the cellar. Anything that I have bought recently, others in the pipe club have done so and cracked their tins… “I like it, but it will benefit with age” seems to always be the case, so off mine go, especially the Red flakes. Certainly not always the rule though, I like University Flake more when it is fresh.

University Flake is one I like a lot. You're right. It doesn't really need aging to be enjoyed, though I can imagine what it would be like with a bit of aging. I have a couple tins that have some years on them but don't know when I'll pop them.

Tastes are different though, others might like it more that way.

I got 8 cans of Carolina Red Flake to put away and I also got a new cutty shape French briar pipe, a very rare occasion for me.

I've smoked both of those pipes since they arrived....WOW is all I can say...they are great smokers and they reflect the fine craftsmanship that Jason puts into all his pipes.
If you are looking for some new pipes...Jason is the man to see. You can't do better than him....you just can't

My Pressed 22 Crumble Cake came today. The post office delivered it to the mailbox and some insecticide had soaked the box and got all over the tins. The baggie of pumpkin spice seemed to be OK but it's got a different taste to it. I spent 15 minutes washing off the tins. 😡

For me it’s what’s NOT win the mail. I just passed the three week mark since a package from Esterval’s got swallowed into the black pit of customs in Chicago. First time this has happened to me, but that doesn’t make me any happier about it.
