Usually ~1,unless an order of new stuff arrives, then 2 or 3 a day until I've sampled it all at least once.

So I have recently fallen into a habit of smoking less frequently but with greater ardor. So for example, I may go a week or more without touching the pipe, and then say I meet a pipe friend, we'll smoke and talk for several hours, which for me is four pipes for every three hours, something like that.
I recently attended an outdoor barbeque party, the cooking being entirely done by the kids. The kids had a great time cooking, tending the grill, delivering to us what we ordered. Just a delight. It was an all day affair, and I smoked the whole day, in between ribs and brisket and bourbon gingers.

Like many have stated, it varies for me, wakeup and bedtime, at least, much more if conditions are right, which they rarely are. Same. "Not as many as I'd like for situation to permit" is more accurate for me. |

I think it would be interesting for folks to give some of the reasons they decide "I'm done, no more for me today."
For some their taste buds just gave up and they don't want to waste good tobacco on a numbed tongue.
For others it is a self imposed discipline, which, more power to ya!
Running out of free time is maybe an issue for many.
Those not lucky enough to be able to smoke indoors with the family, perhaps it is just how long can you be in the garage alone when the family is home.
For me it is often that I am just feeling sleepy enough to go to bed, and don't want to drop things and start a fire.
