A gravy of ground sirloin, mushrooms, onion, garlic, and the last of the vegetable soup, butter, milk, Old Bay Seasoning. Over a split mashed potato Knish.
A real comfort food kind of plate.
I hate half of what I serve myself.
Appetite not yet returned!

Made beef stroganoff tonight, almost disastrous. Opened the spice cabinet above the stove and the 26oz. Container of pepper cartwheeled into the boiling pot for the pasta, and threw water into the oiled hot skillet to braise the beef.
It made a friggin mess!
Tip to self: Regardless of what the recipe says, make the meat and sauce before preparing the noodles.
Noodles do not hold well after the sauce is cooked, on the bright side I have a lot of sauce, and plenty of noodles to cook tomorrow.

A huge Apple crumb muffin from Costco, (best eaten over a waste basket in the office) iced tea to wash it down.

Added some chopped Green Chile to my Hamburger Gravy. Tastes great! Served over buckwheat Soba noodles this morning. Still could not eat much of it. Hoping some kind of appetite returns.

Beef Stroganoff part II. Made some different noodles, the sauce benefitted from marrying the ingredients, quite phenomenal. And this brand of noodles really delivers the goods. www.walmart.com/ip/Light-n-Fluffy-Extra-Wide-Egg-Noodles-12-ounce-bag/10291259Last night was Hell’s Kitchen at the hacienda, I cooked the noodles before the sauce per the recipe instructions, ain’t happening again. Just cook the noodles, stir 1/2 stick of butter in after draining the liquid. Warmed baguette with herbed olive oil.

Last night I enjoyed a Michael Angelo Lasagna.

Had a houseguest so made a crock pot meal. 5# of deer roasts then filled the top with Dutch potatoes and onions. Accompanied by homemade biscuits, seasoned butter, and, later vanilla pudding. Assisted by copious drafts of good Scoth and Irish uisce beatha. Worked a treat…

Things are looking up! This morning I was able to eat two scrambled eggs with shaved Cotswald Cheddar, half of an andouille sausage and a few bits of soggy potato patty. Never grill a tomato in the same pan with has brown potatoes. Low Sodium V-8 Juice and Cafe Bustelo, not at the same time, though, in case you wondered....

yep, small snowblower works good on sidewalks, walkways, useless if plows etc close in "lip" of driveways (both neighbor guys have huge machines, will cut thru what I can't). Soon to diner, home with usual fish fry & sides. Expect to hibernate till time for the chats. Usual doings after sups
Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY no cooking, just re-heat the fish & fries
