Had salads to go earlier, a franchised fast food place that really puts out a great product, highly recommended!

Things are looking up! This morning I was able to eat two scrambled eggs with shaved Cotswald Cheddar, half of an andouille sausage and a few bits of soggy potato patty. Never grill a tomato in the same pan with has brown potatoes. Low Sodium V-8 Juice and Cafe Bustelo, not at the same time, though, in case you wondered.... Glad to hear that

Cobb salad, roasted autumn salad, iced teas… so far all has been excellently fresh, and quite tasty. I have not seen a real Cobb Salad for a while. The Ranchos Plaza Grill in Ranchos de Taos serves an excellent one, if you are up this way. I never been able to get past their Carne Adovada and their Blue Corn Enchiladas with Greeen Chile. Now, back in the 1970s and early 1980s, I used to visit The Brown Derby in Los Angeles and enjoy the original Cobb Salad. Mant, that wsa a treat!

this morning I was able to get down two scrambled eggs with bits of cheddar cheese, Cotswold Cheddar at that.
I fried some tofu but that will have to wait for another time. I do not know what happened to my appetite? Maybe better that it fades as I have become too heavy.
Interestingly, I have lost most interest in cooking now. Prefer packaged meals. I might be joining with Ed in supporting Schwann Foods. They do not have the route trucks here anymore. Delivery is by UPS.

Trying hard to get food down. The past weeks since September have been really rough with illness and medications. I have to force myself to eat something and then it is hard to find something I can eat. This is so unlike me. 500 calories, maybe, per day for six or seven weeks now.
Has this happened to anyone else? I do not have many people I can ask. So, I ask you all.

I don’t think it’s all that unusual. As we age our food habits change, sometimes drastically. This might come about b/c of illness, stress, or just plain boredom. My own eating has experienced some changes lately: less, and easy. This isn’t causing me distress. I’m just adjusting.

Had a great meal at Simi’s cafe in Gilbert today.
Twice cooked pork, sweet and sour pork, orange chicken, white rice, fried brown rice, and chow Mein.
Fried Calamari with chili
Huge portions.
So dinner tonight is the same.

The only time I have felt that way is when I was sick, so your body is telling you something. I wish I could drag your wrinkly old butt to a great medical facility and run tests, and put you on a better path to where you need to be. Costilla, sadly does not have what you need. Follow your gut and do what needs to be done, even if it involves a ride to ABQ.

Follow your gut and do what needs to be done, even if it involves a ride to ABQ. Probably good advice. If I were one to afford it, I would schedule myself into the Mayo Clinic facility in your state, AZ. Managed to get down two White Castle Sliders. For some reason, I can eat those. It may have to do with a memory from 1967 when White Castle saved my butt in Winter.

And that would be a good choice. The Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale has a team of doctors that analyze the situation, and determine a proper solution. If that is an option, let me know I can send out a call to arrange a room for you locally.

Too many White Chocolate Macadamia Nut cookies. Those are my favorite! #2 for me. I was at Publix today and they were boxing them up when they were still warm. I ate 2 in the parking lot and 1 on the way home. I had a busy day, and now I have 0.
