We are so traditional at our house. NOT we ordered Chinese takeout for today easy on all the cooks. Sometimes doing something wacky is good for our soul. Sounds traditional to me! We watched that today. Another movie that the PC Police would not allow today.

Sardines and crackers...pup is looking at me like I have lost my mind...she had a close call with death as a result of pancreatitis...had to be hospitalized and is home now, but on a very restricted diet...no more steaks and grilled salmon...at least until the Dr. says so. Our Yorkie has had pancreatitis 3 times. She's on a very restrictive diet. Prescription canned food and a special kibble. Plus whatever she can find in the yard.

I lost count of the time I have done that over the decades. Both eat in and take away. Would have done it this year except our Chinese restaurant in Taos is closed.

We had chili for Christmas.
And some Korean BBQ Pulled Pork tacos I've been trying to recreate that I had at a craft beer place in Florida. Think I've got it figured out.
Today, for lunch, it was just a small plate of nachos.

Half of a small beef sirloin steak, one cheese tamale, a large spoonful of slightly undercooked pinto beans, milk and an Ensure drink. Slept most of the afternoon. The Prednisone for a week and a half has kicked my butt! Weird dreams.

I cooked prime rib for eight Christmas evening, and as usual only six were on hand. We've been snacking on the leftovers since...lunch today was shaved roast beef sandwiches, and a few ranch flavored tater chips.

White Castle Sliders, as they call them now. Added ripe Brie Cheese.
I somehow managed to get through Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners without seeing one pie (nor anything else of the Desert classification). SO, I am on the lookout for a pie of some kind.

They were the first solid food I had after breaking my jaw in a wreck. I poked the pieces through the wires and they were wonderful. That was in Austin, they weren't in Houston. Later both opened in Houston but I think they all closed before we moved. They were never popular there.

Krystal was my Dad’s favorite burger when we were kids. Ate a lot of those. And Burger Chef. I occasionally buy the frozen White Castle burgers and add a little mayo and mustard.

Lotsa Pasta restaurant in Cortez Colorado tonight. I rarely go to a restaurant with a name like this, the supreme pizza thin crust is really excellent, all ingredients are fresh.

Just shrimp and penne pasta with red and yellow peppers with pesto. A couple of Deviled eggs. Asparagus. Does not age well.
