No pie. Just shrimp and penne pasta with red and yellow peppers with pesto. A couple of Deviled eggs. Asparagus. Does not age well. Sounds like their compost pile was full.

Leftover Christmas dinner soup. Cleaned out the fridge. Prime rib cubed, a turkey carcass with a lot of meat, boiled and shredded, green beans, carrots, onions, veggie stock and even the leftover mashed potaotes went in it as a thickener. Hit the spot on a cold night here in Northern Nj

Meat loaf, mashed potatoes & gravy & canned corn. Dan Quayle isn't the only guy that can't spell potatoes, or was that tomatoes? Spell check has to correct it for me most times.

Whilst in town today, I lunched at "LottaBurger", an old New Mexico chain. On previous occasions, the beef patties making up the New Mexico Burger (a double burger with cheese, green chile, onions, pickles, tomato, lettuce. mustard) resembled Hockey Pucks and probably tasted like them. I mean seriously over cooked black cinder. This time it was perfect. I mean juicy and flavorful. There was some corporate type there training newbies. So, I struck up a conversation with him. "Greatly improved!", I remarked. Anyway, he went on to explain their newish "Clamshell Grill" cooker for the patties. Similar to what George Foreman has hawked for years. Cooks both sides at once and has a timer so it is fool proof eliminating the guesswork of is it done yet? No more Hockey Pucks! Almost anyone can operate it and not fug things up. Sometimes technology really does improve things.

Why Moroccan oil? Just curious… Moroccan Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the most flavorful of all. It is also low in acid. This has been proven in many blind tastings. it has to do with the concentration of polyphenols such as hydroxytyrosol, oleuropein and luteolin. The microclimate of the Atlas Mountains is perfect for olive trees. Tunisian and Algerian is also excellent.

Can't recommend it now if it still exists, because, you know, Disney.

Fried catfish with okra and green beans. Didn't eat the fries or hush puppies. I often skip potato fries or ask for a substitute like beans or coleslaw. If none are available, I ask not to plate them. However, no Hushpuppy escapes my reach.

I could have substituted cole slaw if I had remembered in time.

In an effort to deal with the local pie shortage of the past few months, a Marie Callender Mixed Berry Pie in oven. I am hoping there will be sufficient heat to bake completely during my lifetime. Oven is off by about 70 degrees. We shall see.....
Took the cover off the rear and tested with Fluke Multimeter. 236.48 volts across both hot terminals. So, not a power issue. Just the way LG screws things up now that their appliances are made in China rather than in ROK. Tragic. Another brand gone to hell over greed.

Glad yours came out fine. Better the next day. For laughs sometime, see if you can find the Beef bourguignon segment of Julia Child's TV show from the 1960s.
