Freehand Friday time. Carolina Red Flake 2018 in a self-made freehand. That a new one, Pete? Don't remember the 1st one having the spiraling on the bowl.

I started a bowl of Peretti Cambridge Flake, but got chilly out there in the NW breeze about half way through. How do you like Cambridge Flake? I dig it. Has kind of a . . . I don't know . . . ripeness to it.

2017 Ted's British Imperial in my 1993 Ashton Pebble Grain XXX Liverpool. What a time of year. 48 hours ago it was 50F. Last night we got 3β of snow. On Sunday it is going to be above 40F. We've been bouncing back and forth between 65 and 35 for highs the past 3 weeks. We've had an ice storm and a tornado watch.

Did that one last week. I've only smoked a few half bowls with it so far. Chamber is pretty large, 7/8'" dia. x 2" deep.

These freehands are not good outdoor type pipes for the winter. Unless you like standing outside for two hours in the weather.

C&D Yale Mixture in my Erik Nielsen Apple. Love the grain on that one, especially how it continues through the entire shank.

C&D Yale Mixture in my Erik Nielsen Apple. Love the grain on that one, especially how it continues through the entire shank. Itβs a grade A (Erik's top grade). The other side is a mirror image.

My wife said "why is there a jar of S--t behind that pipe"? Mine said the same thing. My wife also says the same thing about the jars of twist. Many others have asked what the hell it is as well.

Nice group of Preben Holm counterfeits you been makin', Pete! Hahaha! Thanks. I think these turned out okay, considering that this carving hobby is a new one. Need to find more plateaux briar kits. Vermont Freehand and SP are out of what I want. Gonna have to see what Amsmoke has.

Drilling chamber and draft holes and mortises is the next step.
