After dinner, I settled into my recliner with a Nording Signature, and Trout Stream...now it's Granger in a craved pot, from Terry Mincer.

Out with the family this evening. Came home and loaded the Saturday cob with Riverboat Gambler. Really hit the spot, so reloaded with more.

Good Sunday morning. Sutliff Breckenridge in a MM Pride. It doesn’t get much more basic than this.

Good Sunday morning. Sutliff Breckenridge in a MM Pride. It doesn’t get much more basic than this. The BrainTrust at Sutliff chose to discontinue Breckenridge, without asking me. I ran into some of the top brass, and the master blender for Sutliff, at the C.O.R.P.S. show, back in 2020 or 2019. I asked the big boys what was nearest in flavor and shockability, and they pointed me toward their Toasted Burley , a tobacco that is best suited for rolling papers...the hunt goes on!

I didn't find out it was gone until after it was gone. Luckily I had already put up a couple tins. I have at least one left after this one. It's quite plain and sometimes that's what I want. I like Sutliff Cube Cut Burley, but the additives are somewhat more pronounced than Breckenridge. C&D Cube Cut is plain, but it's lacking something to my taste. D&R Two Timer is a good, mostly unadorned burley, but it's a fast burning ribbon. Good luck on the hunt! I'm now smoking some LJP Cuban Mixture in a Legend. Mug of decaf with milk alongside.

In all my years as a piper, I just got my hand on some Granger, weak before last, in a haebar shipment. I find the more I smoke it, the more I like it. Cube cuts aren't a real favorite with me, but I do have a stash of very old Edgeworth RR around here, and I'm not above some good ole S.W.R., now and again.
