Just finished a Marquez Habano. After looking at the band again it is a Rafael Gonzalez /Marquez cigar from Cuba. A generous member of the pipe club handed them out. Fine smoke. |

Anyone ever wonder how many counterfeits by brands there are?
I have bought several "Deals" and they don't taste like the cigars when I buy them normally.
Several La Gloria's that don't taste anything like a La Gloria and a couple Partagas.

Generally speaking, if a cigar "deal" sounds too good to be true there's a reason. Cigars from places like Cigar Bid have needed up to a year in my humidor before tasting right and, sometimes, never do. Improper storage & handling are likely culprits. Best to stick with a quality vendor and sign up for their email sales codes, IMHO.

The Corojo 2012 in this blend is quite unique ... very aromatic. If it's any indication of the leaf in general, I look forward to seeing more blends that use it. |
