My guess would be some kind of Navy flake. He was in the Navy, iirc. WW2 British Army in Italy according to a conversation that he had with Morse. Durn. Okay, I'm going with some kind of OTC Balkan, then.

Thoroughly hooked on Ahsoka. Rewatching Rebels between episode releases.
Also enjoyed Walking Dead: Dead City earlier this year.

Into the second season of "Dark Winds", the Navajo Police drama largely following the Tony Hillerman novels. Zahn McClarnon is good actor as are the other Native actors.

Got home watched some three stooges on METV, Svengoolie is showing “the forgotten vampire”
I found out that Leo is only more pissed at vampires than he is the myriad commercials that have dogs in them.
Best not watch any werewolf movies.

Best not watch any werewolf movies. If he's strongly anti-vampire, maybe it's because he's on Team Werewolf.

We have a subscription to BritBox and I just discovered the entire series of Doctor Who and I remember the series when it was originally aired on PBS. I only like the episodes with Tom Baker as the Doctor. The series was a bit hokey even when I first watched it with comical home-made props and utterly fantastic story plots. Still, I find the program entertaining in its own way.

Brits seem to have the ability to make sheer hokum entertaining: The Goon Show, Monty Python, etc.

The Devil's Hour ... Peter Capaldi was very good in this one. 👍 I watched that a while back. Gave up on it after about 4 episodes, I think, before going back and finishing it. The last episode really pays it off. Capaldi is one of those guys with a face that makes him incredibly well-suited to certain roles, and this is one of them.

Watched the first three episodes of “1923.” (Dvd.com sent it as the last disk of my subscription. They don’t want it back.) I’m not a fan of Taylor Sheridan. I thought “1883” was a historical hot mess. But he does put on a good show. Well staged, great cast, excellent production values. And— wonder of wonders!— someone managed to prevent Harrison Ford from making his “mad face.”

Working my way through "Foyle's War". The first viewing was ten years or more ago. So well written and acted. Filmed in a very lovely part of England, Devonshire, I reckon. Michael Kitchen is a fine actor and seems ot make a good Copper. I like shows with actors of my age group.

I rewatched BAND OF BROTHERS last week, courtesy of of a kind friend who replaced my set given to a young student. It’s a good series. My main complaint is a lack of subtitles (altho they are there for French and Spanish) and very poor sound quality. Both are important to me as I am hearing impaired. Ironically, poor sound used to be my complaint against Brit series. But now they have superior sound to many American offerings. I found the liberation of Kaufering IV particularly moving, but the whole series is a great tribute to the Greatest Generation.

I have never watched that show...I hear it is great, went to a couple of gun shows where the main character was signing autographs, the lines were too long. I figure when I do watch it, I will have to pull out my M1 Garand and M1 carbine and fondle them while watching.

The Pacific is also a very good series. I wasn't crazy about that one. The tone struck me as more about Vietnam than the Pacific Theater of WWII.
