I've been watching the new Shogun series.
Think I'll have to read the book(s).

Watching a British crime drama on Britbox from 1998, and Eamonn Walker plays a role as an undercover cop. On Chicago Fire he is the station chief. I would have never dreamed he was a Brit, British actors adopt an American way of talking better than American actors adopt a British accent.

I know what you mean. Robert John Taylor is Australian, but he played the part of Walt Longmire - of the "Longmire" TV series. His accent was American, but he didn't know how to use his lever action rifle properly.

In the 90's I won the show on CD from an AM talk show on a call in to win challenge...it was Helen Mirren as I recall in the original?

Watching “No Offence” On BritBox. Off Beat cop show. The wife can’t understand a word they say 😂😂. I have to use closed captioning for most of the Brit shows. I lived there for years and still have trouble understanding them. Especially the northern folk.

Even the Brits have trouble with Yorkshire, etc. Compared to northern Britain Irish-talk is a cakewalk.

I as stationed in Scotland for two years, had an apartment and drove on the wrong side of the road😂. Being of Irish decent, I grew up with unintelligible accents in the family, so, Brits are a breeze! If if you want a laugh with Mrs. Brown’s Boys. A Mrs Doubtfiresque comedy about a “normal” Irish family.

Been watching Fallout on prime. It's great but I acknowledge I'm a big fan of the video game series this is based on not sure how much I'd enjoy if I didn't have that knowledge.

I have been watching the original Star Trek series while eating my three meals daily. Still love it! The principal actors were just so much better then the modern spinoffs. For one, they were seasoned actors when the series was made and knew their craft.
