I still remember the days when he dated Sally Fields....” The Flying Nun “. I never thought they were a good match.

I will always remember Burt in all his glory He was hosting The Tonight Show when that came out. Judy Carne, his ex, was a guest. She mentioned the magazine where he had his "hand" covering his private parts. He yelled out "My arm! My arm!"

I heard about it earlier today, great actor!
Now I can’t get the line about Burt Reynolds in the tune out of my mind.

I do not know much about him, of course. His relationship with Dinah Shore and friendship with Dom DeLuise suggested there must be more to him than the media reports. No suprise there!
RIP, Burt and thanks for the laughs.

He was also a friend of Charles Nelson Reilly. From what I have seen he was a very loyal friend. There are some videos on YouTube with the three of them, older, talking. Good fun.

Sometimes I think of people I'd like to sit down and chew the fat with, I mean famous people. I grew up loving James Cagney, but I am not sure he'd be that fun to talk to. Jackie Gleason? Brilliant. Wonderful. Might be in it over my head. Burt Reynolds: This was a guy who could have fun in any situation. He never seemed to proud and lord it over anyone. A few months ago I bought the Smokey Trilogy. I had only seen one or two of them and it's been decades. I bought them because I missed his sharp wit and they were some of the best examples of it.

I liked Burt Reynold's comedies the best, The End with Sally Fields and Dom DeLuise and Paternity with Beverly D'Angelo. RIP, Bandit.

He smoked a pipe in the movie "Mystery, Alaska". He looked like he had some experience with the briar.
