I lived through an era when boxing was popular and had the privilege of seeing some major match ups live. I had no clue the above boxing match was scheduled.....poor media coverage here I guess. Put a car on a track down here, that keeps most happy.....scratching my head!! In my younger years, I kick-boxed for 27 years, miss the past and hopefully the future gets better ๐๐
BOXING IS A SPORT OF THE PAST.

BOXING IS A SPORT OF THE PAST. That sums up my feelings on the subject better than my own words could.

Cassius Clay aka Muhammad Ali, according to computer analysis took over 1, 000,000 hits to the head. Donโt know if I believe that, itโs what I read about his life. My three favorites during my era are Ken Norton, Larry Holmes and Joe Frazier๐๐๐. That was BOXING at its best.

I am only old enough to be able to say I was able to watch Tyson and De La Hoya Live , an the Mayweather fellow that I can't stand watching ( but that's another story for another time ) .

Larry Holmes lives in Easton, Pa about 10 miles from me. I've met him several times and he is a great human being. I ran into him last week at the Sands Casino here while listening to my friend's band play in the bar. Larry got up and did a song. He mostly made up the words and it was great fun. He does a lot for the children in the area. He's still a big man and while so am I, his hand wrapped around mine easily. A big teddy bear with a huge heart.

I'll watch it. GGG will crush the "clean" Clenelo this time around.

I think GGG is going to win as well, Canelo needs to drop the Mexican meat claim of having steroids. I am glad they made the fight happen compared to the last fight.

I'm super excited for the fight and will totally watch the full card tonight. This is probably GGG last big payday and Canelo's chance to make a claim for the pound-for-pound title (it's still Chocolatito by the way). The cards will probably in Canelo's favor so look for GGG to go for the knockout. Alvarez has a tough chin and good hip movements so is unlikely to fall.

Hector Camacho was fun to watch.
I also always enjoyed Sugar Ray's fights.

I sure hope ya'll watched it. After Chocolatito's lesson on why it's a bad idea to step into the ring against him and Lemieux crushing yet another vastly overmatched opponent Canelo and GGG proved that boxing can still be gorgeous to watch. Neither boxer touched the ropes once! One heck of a fight that neither deserved to loss.

Price naseem Hamed, although arrogant to the max, was a joy to watch. The biggest joy I ever got out of Prince Naseem Hamed was watching Marco Barrera beat the crap out of him.

I enjoyed watching the fights of George Foreman after he came out of retirement. When he beat Holyfeild that was his finest moment..all fights after that really stunk up the place
