I've had a Bersa 380 (I think Bazil) for over 30 years.The slide was always too hard for my wife and hard for me..I traded it for a Smith & Wesson M&P Shield EZ 380 the EZ means that the slide is made to be easy.Better for an old man to use in case there are some uninvited guest during the night..Maybe I shouldn't say this here bit I'm going to anyway..The situation in Ukraine has strengthened my belief that we have the right and the need to protect ourselves.

I don’t own one but I’ve heard good things about Bersas. Good luck with yours and I hope you NEVER have to use it. (They are made in Argentina.)

I reported those suspected Russian Paratroops landing on the llano north of here. I am ready with a Polish K98 Mauser pattern rifle from the Spanish Civil War and a Colt Commando from WWII. I have 58 rounds for the rifle and about 60 for the revolver and I mean to use all of them!
Seriously, being prepared is essential. Sounds like you made a good choice for yourself. Practice, practice, practice.
BTW, age is one reason why I stick with revolvers.

I think Ukraine is inspiring more folks to think seriously about issues of personal security. I’m hoping it also causes some of the gun-control loonies to shut up and sit down.

Here in Cass County some are itching for an invasion. The Yankees couldn't do it, the Republic of Texas army couldn't do it, so the Russians are welcome to try. I would rather that they just stay away myself.

I think you made a good trade, Larry.
I don’t think Bersa guns are bad, I have had no experience with them, but based on what I know, I think that you elevated your position.
My son in law carry’s the same gun you now possess as his edc (every day carry) and he is a gun guy. He typically wears cargo pants, and says it suits his purposes just fine.
He carry’s the shield, do not know if it is the EZ model.

The old saying "Be careful what you wish for" applies here, eh? As for the Yankees and invading Texas, why would they want to? Not enough rattlesnakes, dry gulches, ornery steers back where they came from? |
