Welcome from central north Floriduh. My second wife was from Chile...a beautiful and talented lady...spoke 5 languages and could sing and dance...20 yrs difference in age made it impossible, but at least she got citizenship here. Welcome from a truly great group of folks.

Welcome to the patch from central Illinois.
Chile is a place I'd like to visit sometime. I love wine and some of the best wine comes from there - and if I remember right, much of the vines in Chile are still the original European rootstock.
I even looked into moving there once. I hear there are several places full of American expats.

Chebi,
Not sure if you're aware of US pipe smoking sites and their shipping policies, pricing and things available but I suggest having a looking at smokingpipes.com as they have worldwide shipping and offer everything that is available in the market of pipe smoking today. Locally, you may be smoking locally grown crops and buying whole leaf and cutting this up to smoke in your pipes, but there's a wide range from the US, Denmark, Germany, England and elsewhere of top quality pipe tobacco available on the market today. I also imagine as there are in Argentina and elsewhere that you have tobacco shops somewhere nearby that may import a select availability of tins of tobacco. I'm interested in finding out what you've smoked and like to smoke so far.

If would of settle for the local market I'm pretty sure I would not be having this chat with you guys. No disrespect for the lovers of captain black, but around here It's considered the roll royce of tabacco. ¿You know what I mean? Anyway, to this point I know I dont like aros, switching from english, balkan and virginias according to the mood I'm in. So far, the blends I most reach for are "father depmsey" "plumm pudding" "billy budd blonde" and "bayou morning", having some night when I'm in the mood for some "dark bird eye". As you can read, I'm still having trouble when ask for my best tobacco. And now that I mention it, is not trouble at all, but fortunate choose my next smoke. Happy pipping brother! And thanks for the advice.

I'm glad that you were able to find good tobaccos to suit your non-aromatic preference early on. Those are all very solid, quality pipe tobaccos you have to choose from there. As you said, it's great to have such a selection of flavors and choices.

I could happily smoke Captain Black Royal every day. But I won't drink bad whiskey.
