Out and about this evening. Had Eight State Burley and Three Friars with me for the drive. Took the wonky cherrywood along. That particular rustication pattern makes it look almost like a stained cob. For a moment I thought it was a cob in one of your pics in the other thread.

Finishing off Sterling's Bargain blend, from last night. After a few more sips of coffee we're off to our yearly eye Doctor's appointment. The dry tray holds Frog Morton Cellar and Sterling's Bargain blend, for a mixed bowl upon my return.

In from full walks, no-band 6x42 for company. Feed the Ed next, then Apertif in SerJac Rowlette "scoop" & continue with the papers. Misc doings thruout the day ahead, sometimes difficult to decide what to do next recently.

I don’t think I’ve ever tried a combo of olive loaf and pickle loaf. A few months ago, I had ordered a mortadella sandwich at the deli in Charlotte (MI) and they accidentally made an olive loaf sandwich instead. I actually didn’t mind; it was a pleasant surprise. I did have an olive burger at the diner in the village for lunch a couple days ago. I’ve heard, but never confirmed, that an olive burger is a Michigan regional food much like the coney dog.

Paul's Morning Smoke (Cyprian version) in my Cayuga spot rusticated Billiard. While Dan was hunting for something else a few days ago, he stumbled across five pounds of Syrian Latakia behind stuff on a shelf where it shouldn’t have been. I’m encouraging him to use some of it for a Syrian run on Morning Smoke as that is his house blend in which the Syrian most shines. If Dan does make it, then I have to debate whether to buy some as I still have about four pounds of the Syrian version in the cellar.

Olive loaf and pickle loaf=bologna with built-in condiments. Olive burgers are good, too. Don't know if any of these are a Michigan thing. They could be. It's something that strikes me as being regional. Best washed down with a can of Stroh's or Altes! Italian mortadella is pretty darn good, too!

I haven’t had a Stroh's in 5 or 10 years, but it still wasn’t anywhere near as good as white can Stroh's in the 80s before they got sold.
