My wife found a misplaced, unmarked quart jar of tobacco in our bedroom closet. I gave that shelf up to her eight or maybe even ten years ago. I'm puffing on some now, and the flavor and aroma scream Butternut Burley. I'm enjoying this nice surprise in another little gem, a 1/8th bent Dublin, with a very craggy rustication, from Aldo Velani, hot coffee on the side.

Fresh Big 'n' Burley in a Mark Twain.
This sounds like a strange combo, but I'm drinking watermelon kombucha with this pipe and the sour & acidic kombucha is really making the Turkish and burley flavors pop.

WC Slice in a MM Diplomat. I've been leaning towards burley and burley forward aromatics for the past week and the cobs have really been enhancing the smoke.I realized that I have been ignoring my cobs too much.

Haunted Falcon! I'm breaking in a Falcon bowl with HB. After about 5 half loads, it's losing that nasty bowl coating taste. I'm really going to like this Space Age contraption. My pipes are fairly utilitarian instruments, so I'm not put off by its looks.

Fribourg & Treyer Special Brown Flake in a Mimmo Provanzo. I found these bail-top Mason jars while strolling through Old Time Pottery a couple of days ago. I assume they are half-pint jars since the seem to hold the same amount of tobacco as the half-pint Ball jars I have been using for years. Flipping the bail seems easier than unscrewing lids. We will see how they hold up....
