It’s kind of a hobby of mine. I install hardwood plugs on the extra cheapies, stain , polish, upgraded stems, you name it. And I’d do a patch job before I toss a cherished cob. It has nothing to do with money. I’ll see if I can figure out how to post pics or maybe I can’t because I just joined the group? My avatar is a MM cheapie Riverboat Gambler I modded.

I've done about 30, or so to varying degrees. You can see them posted in WAYS. Except for about a dozen that haven't been smoked yet. Here's a couple with bamboo shanks -   |

You need to put your pics on a site like Postimage and then use the URL for your pic here. Cumbersome but it works. You just have to get used to it. I don’t know about any restrictions for new members re posting pics. Have fun!

i use an Imgur account. post my pics there and resize/rotate/crop them there. Copy pic from Imgur using the direct link and paste into reply using popup that shows up when you select the icon that looks like an image. Need to hit orange reply button in upper right hand corner of this box to get to editor.

Imgur is an easy option. Once you load the pic to Imgur . It gives you the option to copy an external ink. You insert that. Into your chat message and it pulls the picture in.

Click reply, at the top of the posting function buttons, you have a little Polaroid looking picture, hover on it and it will read "Insert Image." Click this picture to insert your image URL. Never really modified any cobs, but smoke and own a lot of them. I've considered it, but one of the only mods I care to do is bore out a Mark Twain cob like some do and turn it into a pot.
Cool Riverboat Gambler cob you've made there. Been wanting to get a couple of those, mainly so I can say I'm smoking C&D Riverboat Gambler in a Riverboat Gambler.

If imgur is giving you problems, you may try postimages.org or other hosting sites. Not sure why your pictures were immediately deleted.

I didn't do anything to it except for adding some images to the media folder. When I'm in the media section, I can see uploaded pictures. If I click on one and click the edit button, there's a URL for the image that I can copy and paste here. No adds to annoy me. |

I had problems with imgur deleting my pics, too. I switched to imgbb about 8 months or so ago. No problems so far.

I have to say that as much as I dislike Facebook it was a lot easier to post pics. But by and large their pipe groups are pretty weak….photo after photo of ugly bearded guys in T-shirts taking selfies of themselves smoking this or that pipe. Who cares LOL. Now beautiful gals would be different and appreciated.

unclebernie , did you move the original photo to another folder in Imgur? Or delete it after your post? That might be why we can't see your pics.
