That is interesting, thanks! There are a couple of blends in that list that I might try. Sillem's Black and John Marr sound promising.
I don't consider myself an aromatic smoker, but I guess some would call my longtime favorite, Mac Baren's Scottish Blend, an aromatic or close to it. And to my own surprise I did find myself quite liking C&D's Jolly Old St. Nicholas during the last Christmas season.

I like Erinmore flake, and War horse red that they suggested.
MacBaren Vanilla roll cake is quite good, and for a change of pace, I like Stokkebye nougat.

They never mention that Wilke has a bunch of aros that aren't overdone and are very popular with non-aro smokers.

Ron LOL SmokingPipes don't carry Wilke tobaccos (I've still never tried any Wilke blend at all myself) rastewart - The C&D John Marr is pretty good if you like vanilla and rum bourbon. The tobacco comes with just a bit of moisture like a typical C&D and it's not at all sticky or goopy wet. It's fairly bright and Oriental forward and carrying a solid rum bourbon and vanilla flavor. I found it pretty tasty but ended up getting bored with it after 15-20 bowls. The Warhorse Bar is pretty good and one I try to occasionally add more tins of to my cellar. To boost the strength and cut some of the licorice/vanilla/alcohol toppings I like to add Happy Brown Bogie or Brown Irish X to the Warhorse. It's one of just a handful of Sutliff made blends I can tolerate, where the noticeable quality is there.

I'm a non-aromatic smoker, but I'm not snobby about. I like the War Horses and Erimore Flake. It depends where you draw the line between aromatic and non-aro blends. I really don't even draw a line. I even enjoyed my sample of Mixture 79. They said to smoke what I like, so I do.
