If you're ever in the northwest suburbs of Chicago, I highly recommend Arlington Pipe & Cigar Lounge in Arlington Heights. It's in a little strip mall on Northwest Highway, about half a mile from downtown AH, but it's well worth seeking out. In a time when tobacconists have been turning into all-out cigar lounges or, much more often, closing altogether, this place has actually expanded its pipe and pipe tobacco offerings along with what seems to be a great cigar selection (it's not my particular interest so I have to go on others' testimony there). Very welcoming and knowledgeable staff, and there always seem to be several regular customers hanging out in the lounge area. If you're out of town and coming to the pipe show in May, it's about 20 minutes from Lincolnshire according to a quick web check. Honestly, I think this place and Iwan Ries are the two best tobacco shops in the area now, and it's not a stretch to put them at a comparable level.
