Hello all, Misfit here! Nice to meet you all I was hoping to find someone in the Chicago area to sip a bowl with and thought this may be a good place to start. Welcome to the Briar Patch. The Chicagoland pipe show is towards the end up next month and a good spot to meet pipe smokers. Also, the Iwan Ries pipe shop there, I'm sure you're aware. I'm in Northern Indiana but a good three hours away.

Plainsman anything I can find primers and powder for these days. My newest toy is a Noreen BN MAG in .300 Win. I'm not sure if you are familiar, I was not till the wife surprised me, but its a gas gun direct gas impingement like an AR but side charging and of course a tad bigger than an AR10. I went with Vortex Viper for glass and it does great at 600 but that is as far as I have tried.

I certainly agree a bolt gun hits the x much better but I do love the follow-up shot on that monster whilst keeping both hands put 10x. I have a 1900 Carcano to my first 1022 with the WalMart chestnut squirrel stock and lots between. I bet we both have tons in common an tons to share! |
