2016 GLP Cumberland, same cob.
Three of my main beds weeded and hoe'd and ready, save for the mix in bone meal, blood meal, and chicken feather and manure. The hardest part comes next with starting all new rows across the backyard.

Good morning, everyone. Community Coffee (it's a Southern thing) along with a bit of Wessex Brigade Campaign Dark Flake in a Rattray's Rhodesian. I have taken to cutting my flake tobaccos across the grain with scissors and think I prefer that to my usual fold, twist, rough up, stuff method. It is handy for those times when I just want a half-bowl smoke. And the burn seems more consistent. Thanks for mentioning the flake cutting. Since I have been on this forum, I have realized how much I know to do that I have quit doing around pipe smoking just out of habit and laziness. From watching Silver's and others posts, last week I pulled out my cobs for burleys and aromatics and it was like meeting an old friend. I have known for many years that they work way better for me for that, but over time, I just quit using them. Your post reminded me that I have been treating my flakes the same way for so long that I don't even remember the results of any other way to prepare them. I am now going back to paying attention to my flakes instead of just mechanically doing the same thing over and over.

So forgive my ignorance but I am having trouble uploading 2 photos to show my roster for the night. When I reared my ugly head days ago I said I had Eso And so to bed... 4 years old. I just looked at a Ball jar with the masking tape and Sharpie "Bed 11/17" so its a tad older. That is tonight's last meal and I truly think a 2 year would be as good or better, but cool, right? I'd love to share a photo with a little help please and if Ms. Misfit shuts me down tonight, tomorrow is a grand new day. Cheers to all and sweet dreams!

Having some Pegasus in the Monday cob. Starting to wind things down. I'll be up early-ish again tomorrow. The rest of the carpeting is being installed. I'll be in the cave or the workshop much of the time.

Ogs in a pipe I’m not sure if it’s orgins. It’s stamped hand made usa. And I can barely make out what appears to be da jones but the middle of what would be David has been buffed out. So I believe it’s possible a David jones pipe. Based on what I can find in pipepedia. The stem on this one looks the same as the ones shown and the script used is very similar. But at the end of the day I’m not sure. I tried to take some pictures but it become washed out.

Sorry to William, I didn't realize I was typing inside your quote box when I posted fourth up from this one. No problem, Ted. It's just one of the quirks of the software here. Once your curser gets into the original text box, there's no getting it out. I have discovered that if I drop my cursor in the space below the original that I am quoting, then type and post, all is good.
