It has been brought to my attention recently that we have some toxic behavior happening on the forum. I'm not publicly going to call anyone out, as that's not how I operate. What I can say is that I will be addressing it one on one, and some final warnings will be given.
Guys, I love this place. Admittedly I don't get to spend as much time here as I like, as some pretty major changes in life require the majority of my attention. I created this site to get away from the toxicity we saw at other sites. We have had dust ups before, but people learn that they don't get along with a particular person, and they stay on their own side of the sandbox. That seems to have not worked this time.
Consider this a warning to everyone. Treat each other with kindness. If you don't think you can because a person rubs you the wrong way, avoid them. If you are the type that will not avoid and continue to antagonize, I will step in. We have only had to remove a few people from this place over the years, and I hate doing it. That being said, I will not let one apple spoil the entire bushel.

I love this place - and many of the people on it.
I've learned so much here about pipes, tobacco, pipe making, and even food, bourbon, and more ................
I tried another forum a awhile back. I signed in 3, 4 maybe 5 times, but haven't been back on it for a few months now. Will probably never be on it again, Too big and impersonal.
Here you "see" the same people every day and make friends - good friends.
This is no place for "trolls".

sparks we appreciate your efforts towards creating a friendly home here. I’m sorry that you have to deal with things like this in order to accomplish that. We really appreciate what you do.

Bad behaviour not good anywhere. My husband Chuckles have very bad behaviour.
He had to appear in court for being drunk and posting bad things on forum.
The Judge said, "Mr. Zarnicky, you have been brought here for drinking."
Chuckles say, "Thank you very much your honour. Let's start."
Everyone in court, burst out laughing.
Judge bang gavel and say, "Order, order"
Chuckles say, "For me Vodka no ice please."
Zarnicky loves The Briar Patch. Everyone here seems to be very welcoming. I hope that people find Zarnicky entertaining. It's so much nicer to be friendly with everyone.

I am new here and I know this is an old post, but I sure am glad time was took to review this. Thank you for the reassurance in picking this forum. It felt like the right place for myself and that message just proves that to be true. |

I am new here and I know this is an old post, but I sure am glad time was took to review this. Thank you for the reassurance in picking this forum.
