Ah well, we weren't talking about the De Luxe De Luxe anymore, anyway. It's all Ron's fault for writing the word 'gas'.

A fine and gentle spanking for a seismic thread shift. What was that?

Them trucks ride like a dream, and for those that do a lot of towing, it makes sense. I know several people that use them as daily drivers… whoa Nellie! I am happy with my Nissan Frontier 6 cylinder, it handles all of my hauling needs. Several years back, when gas prices spiked, it seemed them big trucks were on every corner with a for sale sign on them. I decided then and there that I do not want to ever be in that camp. (I pretty much only drive it 5 miles each way to work x3 weekly. I am just at a point that I need to take it out for more miles and get it hot enough to run all of the moisture out of the system.) The wife drives a Mazda CX 5 that averages 26 mpg per tank. I had a Nissan Frontier 4 door years ago. 15.6 mpg. My Ram gets 22. Yeah, the Nissan isn’t a gas squeezer pound for pound, but it gets the job done!

It’s the ton and a quarter Silverado. With only 170,000 on it. Just as I thought, a Silver deluxe. 😉

She gets 22 when on a lightly loaded road-trip. 17-18 when towing the trailer. It’s been a very good truck. ¡Viva la mula roja!

Didn't even mind the lack of power. And it was supposed to say 14 years ago. It was the 2wd model that's set up like a 4x4.

How do you “set up” a 2WD like a 4WD? Put a 4WD sticker on it? Throw some mud on it?

How do you “set up” a 2WD like a 4WD? Put a 4WD sticker on it? Throw some mud on it? The suspension is raised up so that it looks like a 4x4. Sits above the traffic and rides better. Bigger tires too.

Sure. That would be for you, though, not me. How much is a gallon in Texas? In Newfoundland it's 6.69 US and in Québec, I was paying 6.1 US. Gas is $5.79 at local country store, diesel is well over $6. just saw gas $6 and diesel $6.30

Back to the topic, I did purchase a 20s, which I received yesterday, after it went MIA for 10 full days in La La Land before being tracked down. It was sent via Priority Mail Express International. For the good points, the blast is detailed and the stain, a nice color. For the downsides, though, I must say, I am not impressed overall by the construction, boring nor finishing of the pipe. The boring to the tobacco chamber is high, the system well's drilling is kind of botched up, and the stem lacks proper polishing, especially on the bottom part. Also, the bit is, despite not being exagerately so, clearly twisted. The stamping of 'Peterson' and 'Dublin', on the silver cap, is difficult to make out. As for smoking qualities, or performance, I have smoked it only once but I don't forecast issues. In summary, considering the price asked, I tend to be disapointed. It seems like the lads and lasses at the factory are, once more, resuming their sloppy habits.

My latest House… The stamping on the silver band of my 20s is good, it's the one on the cap that is not.

But your paying in Canadian dollars! Isn't everything 33% cheaper there? Sure. That would be for you, though, not me. How much is a gallon in Texas? In Newfoundland it's 6.69 US and in Québec, I was paying 6.1 US. Fast forward a few weeks, and now gasoline is $5.25 for 87 octane here, but over $6.30 a gal up in the Chicago area. Expect an average in the cheaper parts of this country to climb to $6.25 average by the end of August and places like Chicago will climb over $7 gallon.

Maybe we can get the government to double the speed of the presses printing the money and start cutting checks again.

Can hardly wait ‘til dollars are like lira. “How much for a burger?”
“50,000 bucks. More if you want a bun.”

This is just like when they acquired C & D. Instead of focusing on getting a hang of things and improving, they are throwing themselves in releasing new series and often rushing through it. There were the molded smal batches tins scandals, overly dried tobacco, etc. I had to give up on their products which was a pity because I enjoyed a lot of them, both C & D as well as several GL Pease. Now, with Peterson, we have blasts deforming the stummel on expensive 'exclusive series', or PSBs, major excess stain on POTY, fills on expensive pipes, bad drilling, etc. They are just not learning. Yes, I know, I am bitching a lot over the last week or two. I guess that is what repetitive disappointments do. And that is also why I am done ordering anything online, besides books and cigars, that is. My rants are over. Carry on, Guyrox.

Too rare and unattractive to me. Plus I really don't get the whole Ulysses thing. To the reader who doesn't invest years into breaking down each line it's just nonsense.
