My package is stuck in customs. Dhl wants my SSN no problem their I have I assume I have duty to pay. A power of attorney. Agian im willing to do this. And a copy of a my tobacco import paper or a ttb according to atf I can only get that if I’m a business. This isn’t for resale only personal use. So I feel stuck their. Anyone had this issue before. I’m sure it will work it self out and I’ll get my package or my money back. But i think im done ordering from Estervals anymore. For the record my order was under 200 dollars(not counting shipping) and was 15 tins.
Just thought I’d share my story. I’m going to call when I get a chance later today.

Sorry to hear it, and can empathize, partly. Customs is a different problem than my Esterval's order had, but I can feel for you on the delay in general. Hope it's straightened out soon.

Even in the Uk I don't risk ordering from anywhere outside the UK. It's not worth the hassle for me. |

I hate to be the dissenting voice, but you aren't getting that order. If customs grabs it and requests your tobacco license, they'll destroy it or keep it. It's not worth going through all their hoops. My MrSnuff order arrives just today, after about 3 weeks of waiting. Sorry to hear it was such a big order.
Our US and to an extent all global tobacco laws today are dicey and tricky to attempt orders from overseas. The best analogy is that we're rolling the dice. If as an individual you order tobacco directly from Germany you are basically acting as someone who is importing without a license. I used to have friends in Germany stealth package and mail to me directly but this is why I don't ever order from overseas direct from retailers. This is only my second order this decade from MrSnuff but it's a slight bit easier to get their stealth packaging via the UK.

MrSnuff order just arrived. As I suspected, they stopped shipping to the US the way they used to and I had a conversation with their customer service about it. Long story short, some shipping company of theirs in NY imports to their warehouse, and that place ships to you within the US from a NY warehouse address. So, it does not look like it's tobacco or that it ever came to you from overseas. Very smart. And totally stealth packaging.

I know that in the past, I paid for my Mr. Snuff orders through a NY contact a few times, and had no problems. |

MrSnuff was offering free shipping to US for orders over $50. Many of their Swedish and Indian snus' are far cheaper than can be found in the US, and free shipping to boot! For about $55 I got a supply to possibly last me for more than a year. Then they sent me a 20% off coupon so I may even stock up on the ones I really like. It's a bit zany when I can get foreign snuff for less than half the price of Copenhagen and US grown and sold tobaccos, though many of them are a bit less tobacco by weight. Even when we price Gawith Hoggarth which must be imported, it's cheaper than Sutliff tobacco packaged as Seattle Pipe Club.

If your Visa is denied, check your email associated with the cc/ debit card.
Some financial institutions automatically decline overseas payments until you confirm that it is legitimate.
Chase is that way.
