Damn. That was worth four minutes. It will be interesting to see how well pipe smoking holds up to a longer time frame when they show Father The Flame next month? Bob is well known and regarded around the hobby. The PCI Kapnismologist award goes back to the PCI show days in the 80's early 90's. PCI was bankrupt before my first show in 1997 but the PCI Conventions were the Chicago Pipe Show of their smoke friendly day. The PCI magazines are still floating around and are a fun read.  |

I was with PCI from start to finish. Have all but a few of the magazines up in my attic. A bit confused about "Bob H"....we talking Bob Hamlin? Bob never really treated me right over at the old version of #pipes 'tho we had good time at CORPS '89.

I probably took it off track by saying that Bob Herbert was a Kapnismologist. I didn't think many knew that was the Kapnismologist award you got from PCI like the Doctor of Pipes is awarded by CPCC these days. You know that Hamlin (PCCA) bought PCI and merged them before it all fell apart. |

That's an amazing collection! 800 plus Comoy's is a lot of Comoys. The man has good taste in pipes and in tobaccos. Red Ribbon is a favorite of mine.

Cool video, I really enjoyed it.
This guy is a great resource for the married pipesmoker, whose spouse may not understand.
He is a collector with 10,000 pieces, by comparison anyone else's participation in the hobby is just a dabbler.
