Three Friars in the Friday cob and Six Pence in a new self-made, slightly bent billiard on Sis/BIL's front porch this evening. Nice pipe. You need some new newspaper. Haha, thought it adds character to the photo!

Made several 10 minute excursions to the deck to smoke the McConnell Scottish Flake I stuffed into this Willmer brandy shortly before lunch. Too hot to smoke. Too hot to move. Official temp 5 minutes ago--99 with heat index of 119. Heat index was 122 at lunch time--so it is cooling off a bit. I am ready for fall and football season....

Just in from mowing, weeding, clipping, and trimming...boy-oh-boy, 78 degrees sure feels hot when you get really busy outside! Comoy's Cast #9 in a Savinelli rusticated 177. Embrace it, Herb. Before you know it, snow will be in the air again!

Busy day today. Started with Pegasus in the Saturday cob (grabbed the wrong jar and rolled with it) and coffee on the back porch. The world kept turning, as far as I can tell. Went to the cemetery and planted flowers for my folks and grandparents. Mowed my wife's uncle's lawn. Watered our garden, baskets and pots. Cut and stacked some fire wood. Had a couple bowls of Three Friars and Bayou Morning, while doing all this. Now, I'm sitting on the small patio, under the apple tree, where my BBQ rigs are. I'm seasoning a new griddle top grill and enjoying a cigar. Gin and tonic to pair.

Frog Morton Cellar in a Brigham One Dot billiard, with thick walls, covered in a shallow rustication, and a matt finish. A good smoking pipe, that's been neglected for far too long.

I suppose they could do a variation of it at any point and offer it, but I was told they made some of these while there was a part shortage so it got a random blue acrylic stem, a silver aluminum band of sorts, on a Diplomat polished bowl. So, I just call it the "showcob" because they made them for the NASPC show last year with what they had.

Sorry for late Post but was extremely busy yesterday. Peterson’s 3P’s in my Savinelli Onda. It’s a wonderful smoke but the preparation time is ridiculous! Oh well, good things for those who wait.

Sounds interesting Herb. What’s the recipe if you don’t mind sharing? Not a process I'd recommend, Ted, but hear goes... I started with a tin of Sutliff's Eastfarthing, I added tobacco from one of those Chocolate flavored cigars; a Churchill size one, with a lovely rich cigar aroma, I grew tired of the darker notes I found at that point, and added a half ounce of Yorktown, thinking to brighten the smoke a bit...some weeks later I found almost an ounce of Sutliff's Toasted Burley, and that ended up in the mix... have you ever? If you don't count the original tin, that's three encounters. Definitely a lot of work sir. Thanks for sharing. 😃
