I watched for about the last 20 minutes. The pipe was a Kaywoodie blasted large Billiard. The tobacco was Mac Baren Navy Ready Rubbed.
Raymond called himself out at 1:10:00 (if I remember right) shortly after Les went out. Raymond could have kept going but he prudently avoided risking the scorched bowl elimination rule.
I have two minor bitches: - They weren’t properly enforcing the rule that people who are out must leave the competition area. That made it hard for the spectators to tell who was still in. - A sample of the competition tobacco was passed around during the United Pipe Clubs of America (IPCA) annual meeting. It was far too moist and I'm sure that contributed to the low times.
