I think that Scottie makes a nice looking pipe, but not for me.

A well executed Canadian is the perfect thin-ness for me. Scottie was a moderator on here for a spell, I think she figured out that making pipes was a more profitable use of one’s time.

I don't really see that it makes a difference whether a pipe is made by a man or a woman. The price should reflect the quality. I just can't afford it pipe made by a woman to compare. Maybe one of the many makers I own will transition to a woman and I will see if the pipe smokes any different. Cant say I will volunteer for that role. My wife just would not understand!! (Pretty sure I wouldn't either LOL)

While I don't own any, I do admire Scottie Piersel's and Silver Gray's work.

One thing I will never understand are the people who buy those pencil thin pipes that Scottie Piersel makes. The bowls are tiny, they barely hold any tobacco and people pay 4-500 for those butt ugly pieces of swill. That's a bit harsh. Maybe fans of this pipe are skinny dudes with skinny fingers, or the local quilting club. Or maybe someone who just wants something different. In any case, there are people who like Oompauls. To me they look like a ball sack hanging from your chin. Hahahaha
