I got a good haul today. My "tobacco press" (really a pasta press), 3 nice Greek plateau blocks, and some 'baccy. Sir, I am intrigued... Fire away!

Thanks to Charlie posting the P&C Peterson pipe code (KP49) I have 2 Killarney pipes coming my way. An 06 Billiard and a B5P Bulldog. In addition to the $49.00 half price, it is my birthday month, so another 10% off for 2 new pipes for $90.00 with free shipping. Winner, Winner! Chicken Dinner!

Jason I know it's posted some where but can you repost the plateau pipe you made. Here it is. This was my 9th pipe, I think. And looking back, it was a nice pipe, but WAY too busy. At least, I think so.

Got a package arriving today. 1 pound of Union Terminal from Straus Tobacconist in Florence, Kentucky. It's a custom blend of theirs and a really deep smooth all day English. However, the USPS pulled a boner on me. I ordered it 2 1/2 weeks ago. It went out with a tracking number and instead of traveling to California it ended up in Philadelphia where it sat for almost 2 weeks. When looking up the tracking number, all the USPS said was this package was in transit but would be slightly delayed. Huh? Oh well, says it is out for delivery today so I should see it this afternoon. Hope it isn't damaged. Like the old Folger's Crystals commercial: "We've secretly replaced Perry's Union Terminal with Mixture 79. Let's see if he notices..."

Just pulled the trigger on another 8oz tin of Black Frigate and I also ordered some pipe cleaners and rubber bite guards.
Gotta build that cellar...

Ran across some Bob’s Chocolate Flake today at a tobacconist in East Lansing. Jumping into the Lakeland world I guess. Also picked up an ounce of two McClelland aros, RSVP and a cherry blend. The RSVP is tasty. Had some driving home.

Well got some Maryland and Stoved Virginia for blending experiments. Everyone seems to talk about Autumn Evening so I got an 8oz "sample". Also picked up another new-to-me Two Friends English Chocolate. As a bonus I got another G.I. Mechanics Tool Bag to put my wears in when I go out.

This pretty piece should be arriving today, thanks to Mark Tinsky. Welcome here, good to see another former Juggie. I'm also a refugee from NJ!

I used to go in there almost every day in the early and mid 80s when I went to MSU.

I just ordered a 500 g (17.6 oz) box of Gawith Hoggarth Rum Flake. I received a confirmation e-mail from SmokingPipes.com for my order, then the next day, an email stating that they only had 16 oz and would I like them to send that instead. I replied that I would take the 16 oz. The following day I received a message stating that they didn't have 16 oz, but could send 15 oz, at which point I no longer felt like playing and cancelled my order. Disappointed in my favorite vendor.

Ouch! That's the first negative I've heard about SP in my year of pipe smoking.

SP: I am a bit concerned too. Has anyone noted the across the board price increases the past few months? Letting their customers share the expense of acquiring Peterson pipes?

I noticed that as well. My last few orders have been at TP and P&C. TP used to be a little more expensive, but shipping was faster to me because of location. Now, with SPs price increase, and charging me state tax, it's better for me to shop at TP.

I noticed Viprati is a whole dollar more per tin at SP than TP.
I haven't looked at other stuff yet, I was just searching that last night.

I was told the other guy knew pipes better but wouldn’t be in that day. Maybe next time.
