Beautiful pipes, Ken and Duane....Duane where is the stonework? Maybe it is my eyes, but I don't see any lapis lazuli on the band or anywhere else.

On the briar itself around the mortise opening on the end of the shank. It doesn't show well in the photos or video, but I'll post more photos when it arrives.π

Thanks, Duane...enjoy your new pipe! It was carved in 2016, the year he retired from pipe making, it could very well be one of his last pieces. I dont know if i can bring myself to smoke it.π

It finally arrived!!! Scott W kindly sent me a package of Five Brothers. But the sneaky blighter that he is, he also added some of Josh's RD mix so I'm looking forward to try that to, in the Peterson P-lip pipe that he included in the package. Scott....what can I say? Thank you, brother.

I looked on Pipedia and saw one similar but no information what shape it is. the one similar is called a caboose. Is that what you have?

Is that what you have? it may be a caboose variation. scrooge send me a caboose, but the bowl has a big chin coming out from the bottom. It's definitely the same style, done by the same company.
