I've been wanting a large Oom Paul for some time and purchased this Peretti early this week.  Very nice! It helps that it's my favorite shape, other than my eggs from Jason. |

The last production Dunhill blends were made by STG. Same factory, same recipe, same leaf. The only thing different is the name on the label. McConnell never made the Dunhill blends. |

I saw where it's out and thought I'd go ahead and get 5 tins before all the hoarders grab it ! Looking forward to seeing what STG does with it ( they make all of Peterson's blends) Been through all the blenders for this from Dunhill, through McConnell and now will see what the Danes do with it! Um, it’s going to taste exactly the same. The last production Dunhill blends were made by STG. Same factory, same recipe, same leaf. The only thing different is the name on the label. I have 2 estate Norup pipes in the mail. They are the closest I will ever get to owning a Jess Chonoswitsch. Norup was handmade pipes by Lars Christensen, Hans Jonny Nielsen (a.k.a. Former) and Jess Chonoswitsch from the late 60s.

wow, scrooge. What an awesome set of pipes from two awesome people. I bought a tin of Peterson Nightcap today. I've no Dunhill to compare, but I don't think I'd be able to anyway. These days, new tins are for cellaring purposes anyway. |

A friend of mine sent me a picture of a package of Kentucky Club. It's still sealed and looks undamaged. He said I could have it and he'll drop it off the next time he stops by. Has anyone here smoked this blend?  You can still get it in Mexico although it's licensed by Norma de México instead of the Middleton original. It's a goopy and sweet cavendish. |

The domestic KC Blue was burey based OTC, dry to the touch and pipe. It was a serviceable stuff it and forget it blend, a bit on the bland side.
