6 AKA James may not have seen this, so I will answer. First, James is my brother. I could not feel closer if he were real blood.
In the package; 1936 Briggs Mixture, which some of the guys here will testify is very nice The Pipe is a Ukrainian Ball that he commented on. Nothing expensive. I smoke mine daily Pipe tamper in Deco Style, again, something akin to what I use here Pipe filter and replacement if not wanting to use filter. Lastly is my Kentucky Colonel Challenge Coin. I didn't make colonel till I as 56. Coin is not expensive and I think anyone could buy one. Not the point, though. I wanted James to have something with him that was mine and special to me. A more faithful friend and brother I could not ask for, though honorable mention goes to my older brother Butch. If this seems self serving, it was not meant that way, 7

JimInks said Lane is much improved, but I think gives the edge to Sutliff. Butz is a nice looking pipe

I know the guys making the film “Father the Flame” (one is a member of the local pipe club in Grand Rapids, Mi.) and they sold some pipes to raise money for the project. These were made 70 years ago from Algerian Briar by Chacom in the factory in St. Claude, France. They acquired them and had the film logo placed on the shank. They had I believe it was 100 pipes, but they only had 1 that has the ring cut in the bowl. It’s a very small pipe at 5” in total length and only weighs 34 grams. I was surprised when I found it has a stinger (threaded and can be removed easily). It was one way I could support them it getting the project finished (as well as previously bought 2 tins of the Father the Flame baccy).

Very nice pipe!! Envious. And yes that's the typical Chacom stinger. Doesn't get too messy and the pipes smoke fine with or without the stinger.

Got 12 pouches of Lane Ready Rubbed, 4 pouches of SWR Aromatic, and all these tins in the P&C BOGO sale last weekend: I like the way STG dealt with the labeling on the for square line...no ambiguity on the contents....I hate numbered blends....sometime like the contents, not a fan of the marketing.

A catch up post from while I was away for several weeks: When the re-release of Carolina Red Flake appeared on SmokingPipes, I found out in time to get some ordered. I also deepend my cellar stock of C&D Opening Night and MM965.

I have been waiting for the Nook to get more Neerups back in. His price is competitive and he seems to pick out the more interesting pieces. Kids and taxes come first this month, though
