Hello, my name is Jon. Just thought I'd drop a line and introduce myself. I'm from Mesa, AZ and I enjoy pipe smoking. Also, I'm a member of my local pipe club, the Arizona Pipe Club.

Welcome from Southwestern Wisconsin! I bought my first "good" pipe at the Tinder Box when they were still in the Mesa Mall back in the early 80's. I have a home in Green Valley south of Tucson and have driven up to a few club meetings over the years. The club guys are a great bunch and I look forward to seeing a few of them in Chicago next month. Ye Olde is one of the best pipe shops in the country.

That is a different bunch, we aren't so great. They meet on Thursday nights at Ye Olde pipe shoppe which doesn't work for most of us...it is a great pipe and tobacco shop but the smoking section is fairly small, and the few Saturdays we met there, some cigar smokers were being quite the butt heads, and the air exchange rate leaves a lot to be desired.....I always wanted to make a Thursday night meeting, I bet it is quite different. After the Tinderbox left the mall they had a great place on Southern, but they closed shortly after I resumed pipe smoking...they had a nice core group of pipe smokers that met there, but that was before I was into the pipe club, wish I had gotten their addresses...Paul Busa used to manage that shop, he now owns big sticks in Mesa, John R said that his pipes number in the 100's...600 if I recall right.
