My neighbor has an old Ford 9000 tandem axle dump truck on property. Keys missing and left behind by previous owner when they conveyed property.
New owner wants it gone.
Air brakes, so I guess it cannot move unless the engine is running?
Appears to have a Brownie type dual tranny set up, which I am somewhat familiar with from my youth.
It has a largo lever on the steering column, meant to swing in a track behind the steering wheel. So, what is that, I am asking those who know? It kind of reminded me of the vacuum advance on really old gasoline engine trucks. Surely not that. My guess is engine compression brake? Jake Brake?
Any suggestion on how to move a dead diesel dumper a short distance, without the ignition keys?
