My chiropractor really helped mine. Zarnicky's chiropractor turned out to be a crack addict. He was arrested because owing too much in back taxes. I suppose that's 2 puns? Pretty good. 3 groans.

I was taking 4x 600 4 times a day and I'm still stage 3. Doctor said that it was definitely the ibuprofen and naproxen. I was trying to relieve the aches and pains of statins. I wonder if they ever count the years off the lives of the millions of people who they've damaged against the limited benefits of statins. I was doing much the same and it was killing me. I also stopped Statins. Screw those Statins. 50% of people who die of heart attacks don't have high cholesterol.

I talked to a patient the other day, he had no kidney issues, had full physical every year. Had Covid twice, recovered with no issues. Decided to go to visit friends in the Philippines and was required to get the Covid vaccine. Two days later he was hospitalized, now he is on dialysis.
So much about drug interactions is a mystery I think even to great doctors, that I try to be a minimalist. If I get high cholesterol in the future, I am going to try and manage it with diet and natural remedies.

Sympathy extended. Not famialar with those meds. Take Lovastatin & Metformin, couple OTC. Would say purty good for being 81 Ed Duncan, Batavia, NY Do your self a big favor and get off the Metformin. Ask your doctor for a once daily shot called Lantus. Metformin is a kidney killer.

I looked it up and metformin doesn't damage the kidneys but it might not clear as fast making you need a lower dosage. In people with serious kidney disease glipizide would probably be a better choice.

I feel old hearing about all the wealthy outsiders who are buying up the land and water here. Three more this summer. Our remote little community is changing. Change is the natural order of things but I still hate to see it happen. That is surely a sign of age.

I cannot reconcile the face in the mirror. It is that of a stranger. Not who I want to see, not what I want to project. That turkey waddle flap neck has gotta go. The corners of the mouth need to rise to project more pleasantry and not grimace. Been too long with dark bags under the eyes. Seriously thinking a little overall lift will go a long way. Who I am inside is still too far from being over the hill.

Like everyone says, getting old is not for sissies. It also beats the alternative. I look at age as a kind of final test of character. A long-term sun dance. Moan and complain or suck it up and get on with it. That which cannot be changed must be endured. Wait a minute or two and I can probably come up with some more applicable clichés

happy when 1st thing do when wake up, look in small mirror, say to self "hey, yer still around", THEN go empty the bladder! Nuther oldie: "late to bed, early to rise...makes a person baggy under the eyes"
Works for me Ed

An older gentleman shuffled slowly into an ice cream parlor and pulled himself slowly, rather painfully looking, onto a stool. After catching his breath, he ordered a banana split supreme. The waitress smiled kindly at him, asking, “Crushed nuts?” The older gentleman replied, “No… arthritis.”

Moan and complain or suck it up and get on with it. That which cannot be changed must be endured. Wait a minute or two and I can probably come up with some more applicable clichés That is the traditional approach, used successfully by Seniors for a long time. Recently, I decided that I am not getting any older. I refuse to age further. Oh, the numbers will progress yearly but I will neither "grow" older nor accept further changes. I intend to remain at this point for the future and carry on with my responsibilities and what few hobbies I have. New aches and pains will have to find another home to spread their evil. Now, some event may disrupt this and that is my plan. " The point being attitude is everything and most of my school days Teachers will concur I have a "Bad Attitude.
