We are going to have to take a vote on it, but I think that I think there are more pros than cons by meeting at RJ’s. The BYOB accommodation is really nice, Albertsons had Kiltlifter for $5 a Sixpack, one glass of beer at big sticks is $5. Makes it easier to spend money on tobacco or cigars.

I've never been to Big Sticks but I thought this place was nice. When I was buying a few tins he said next time he'd set the chairs up better for us, he wasn't expecting so many to show up. I dont drink, but I definitely see how the BYOB is a huge bonus. You save money and you drink what you want instead of whatever is available. My vote is easy because I've never been to the other venue. It was 40 miles away, but it was definitely worth the drive. I could do it every Saturday. After driving cross country 7 times in the last year, 40 miles is nothing. Bonus: when I got home the lady said "I was expecting you to reek of cigars and pipe tobacco, but I smell nothing." She doesn't say anything about it anyway, although she hasn't smelled latakia or Brown Bogie yet. Speaking of BB, is that what you were smoking trailboss? I kept catching whiffs of it, but couldn't pinpoint where it was coming from.

Damn, my cover is blown! Off to the DOJ to get a new identity.
Normally not in the pics, cause I usually take them, sidelined with a broken leg.
Yeah, my first bowl was brown Bogie… funny you mention that, as soon as Joe Fabian from Laudisi came in… :”who is smoking dark fired?” I guess that smoke really reaches out.
And on my inaugural visit, Rick explained the air handling system to me, it is a pretty robust system to put it mildly, and he is religious about swapping the filters… “ I have too much money into it not to maintain it properly”.

Smart man! Dirty filters strain a system. You wouldn't believe the crap that I pull out of them on some of the jobs I'm on.
I heard him ask that before he even made it to a chair! Haha. Brown Bogie has a very distinct smell. Out of all of the pipes and cigars that were being smoking yesterday, that one stood out the most. I have to dig around and see if I brought any with me. If not, my dad will get the luxury of digging through my tubs so he can drop a jar in the mail.

I wish I had known, I had some more on hand… a section at the proper moisture level that needs to be smoked!

Wow, that's a sweet venue! Does a vote from SC count? I vote for this place! Next time I visit my nephew (Mike....in several of your pics)...I'll come with him to a pipe meet.

It would be great to have you, Joe!
One thing that is cool about this place for cigar smokers is that when the unit next door was annexed, a double rollup door was installed where the wall was.
The humidor rentals are on that side of the premises. When the store closes for the night, those that rent a locker have a key fob for 24/7/365 access. A beverage cooler, restroom and all the furnishings of the main room and security cameras are monitored by the owners on their phones.
The first time I was there I talked to a guy that works swing shift and commutes with a cigar smoking buddy. Every night at 1 AM they have an after dinner smoke before heading home.
Plenty of great places to eat in the same center pizza, sushi, sports grill, etc…that you can bring in to the lounge.
The owner is hoping the next unit becomes available for annexation, he wants to put a pool table, darts, and shuffleboard in. Currently his rent is 10K per month, I am afraid that down the road with that much skin in the game, the landlord tightens the financial thumbscrews.
I have seen that happen more than once to a tobacconist.

Thanks, Andre. I had my tobacco squire accompanying me since my leg is broken. He was tasked with taking pictures instead of me.
