It's tomato season where I live. Just got a few yesterday from a banjo student of mine. And that means bacon, lettuce and tomato sandwiches.

Now there's a good idea! ...or just more bacon. There are few problems more bacon will not solve... I cannot think of what they are just now!

Who'd of thought turkey bacon could elicit so many responses? Though I'd like to try some eldritch bacon some time.

We had a package of turkey bacon in the house recently; our oldest daughter bought it when visiting with her kids and left it behind when they returned to California. I don't expect to make a habit of it, but it was surprisingly good; tasted very close to the original bacon from the wonderful, magical animal.

Turkey bacon isn't bad, really. But I do miss the amount of grease left behind after frying pork bacon. Bacon fat is so useful.
