I have only been seriously pursuing my TAD for about 2 years. It got me thinking, are there specific seasons when more pipe tobacco drops than others? I have seen little tiny infusions of tobaccos but nothing notable. For example, I know that Arturo Fuente usually has a big drop of their better cigars around Father's day and Thanksgiving. Does anything like this apply for pipe tobacco? The last 2 years I've been paying attention and I did notice some Germain products land around the Holidays. I have been waiting to find certain G&H blends as well as a few Sam Gawith. Perhaps covid and the supply chain issues the last couple of years has skewed my observations?

In the past, Pipes and Cigars yearly calendar would note each month what was going to be on sale. For two years at least, in November Stokkebye was on sale at rock bottom prices and I loaded up. Other months, other brands were featured. I think that with raw materials jumping up a lot pre-covid, along with covid disrupting supplies and the continuing supply chain problems mentioned by STG in another active thread, I think all of that has gone out the window. I haven't been ordering from Pipes and Cigars regularly for quite some time, so I do not get the calendars.
International Pipe Smoking day that takes place in February? in the past, they had some great deals but the pickings have been slim in the last few years.
I will let others chime in.

The Gawith blends tend to hit the US in 2 bulk batch shipments, twice a year. Typically from December-January most get restocked, and at times right about mid summer. Their main supply issue is directly with meeting demand. China buys tons more of the tobacco than the US does. Something like 5-10x more. There will be Halloween and general fall blends coming but many of these are "seasonal small batch" releases. Last year, we saw C&D From Beyond (A Small Batch release part of the Old Ones series based upon aged Dunhill Nightcap) and Warped/C&D Scarecrow. Sutliff released a Pumpkin Spice in bulk. Usually a couple Christmas releases. The Germain's blends have been like Hen's Teeth for the past decade.

Yeah I'm not even talking deals, discounts or sales, I'm just wondering about straight up supply and supply chain.

I haven't noticed any particular pattern to it, but I tend not to notice these things.
